Wow, its been over a week since we headed back home from Knitting in the Heartland!
On Friday April 1, we headed out early in the morning, with no room left in Ester’s vehicle. We were surrounded on every side by yarn and booth supplies. Poor Ginger was stuck between it all in the back seat for a few hours. We were pumped and ready, got our booth set up and were geared up for the Yarn Harlot’s Key Note that night. She was hysterical, neither Ester or Christa had heard her in person before and it was wonderful. She had everyone rolling, and our faces and sides hurt from laughing so much.
After her speech the market was open for a short time only for those who had purchased tickets for her keynote. Saturdayand Sunday we were open all day for the market.
We had so much fun and really must keep saying THANK YOU to all of you who shopped with us, and stopped and shared a bit of yourself with us that weekend. We got to know so many of you and had a great time doing so.
A very sweet customer brought us a wonderful treat as well. A knit clip for each of us! These awesome little tools act as a needle holder and keep your stitches from falling off, especially for those of us who knit on circulars. Thank you so much Jodi, we are so excited to get to use these. 🙂
We all did a little shopping as well (of course) and we all got bags from the wonderful Willow Island Design. Her bags are extremely well made, very sturdy and her large bag would hold a very large blanket project. She also had very unique fabrics that I’ve not seen anyone else carry. We loved them and hope she opens an etsy store soon! This picture is just 2 of the bags that were purchased. The larger bag is only the Medium size and the smaller one is her sock bag. And those pull charms just add that extra little something. 🙂
We’re busy getting lots more yarn dyed for the shop and gearing up for the next event in 10 weeks!
More exciting news to share with you soon!
